MORE CHRISTMAS ADVENTURES AND THEN SOME!

After everyone finally got unstuck from all the snow we got on Christmas we were finally all together at my mom's What a fun day! I love getting together with my Family! It is so much fun to have little babies again and might I say we have a couple of the cuttest little girls ever! Whitley has a really cute personality every time she smiles at you she wrinkles her nose and squints her eyes I can't believe she is 1 year old! and lillte Raylee is so funny I swear she would stand all day if you you could stand to hold her up she hates to be laid down she will strain her head until you finally give in and let her back up. As usual the kids made out like a bandit! Landon come home with a BC Surf and Sport gift card and a new hoodie and Tanner got some bike tools to put in his pack and a new hoodie. My Mom gave me and Bill new out door lights for our house and My brother Gordon gave a popcorn popper (stove) and two new movies Walli and Get Smart Can't wait to watch them. We then all ate lunch then everyone started to head out to their next destinations. We had to be over to Bills parents house at 6:00 so we had plenty of time to come home and take in a game of Life. and for me to take a couple of advil I was getting a headache. We got to Bills moms right at 6:00 and had a prime rib dinner! We left there at 9:00 the snow storm had arrived and it was was snowing hard. on our way home a car lost control right in front of us it did a couple of 360's but luckily they hit no one. We made it home safe and sound. The boys head off to bed they want to head skiing in the morning.

Morning comes but the canyon roads are closed for avalanche control. they can't get up until after 10:30 Landon decided he didn't want to go he has a little sore throat. Taner is all excited to go to try out his new head phones he can use with his IPOD. around 12:00 Bill is calling me to tell me that Tanner has lost his IPOD. Are you kidding is there some kind of rule I'm not aware of for the Hart kids that they can only have one IPOD between the two of them at a time? Well I guess we know what Tanner is going to spend his Christmas money on now don't we? Tanner calls me a little later to tell me that he wants to home because Dad won't stop being mad at him for loosing his IPOD. I tell him I won't come and get him that he'll just have to wait in the lodge he then tells me I'm useless and hangs up on me. This is how he gets when he is really mad. I know he'll get over in time. he calls me back and asks if I'll pick him up if he takes the bus home. I agree but I'm not real happy. He calls back and tells me he has changed his mind he is going to stay because now he dosen't want me mad at him. What ever! He endsd up coming home with Bill when the day is done and he is in a lot better mood. We head out later and he buys himself a new IPOD Nano. Tanner is happy again!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I have a couple of minutes so I thought I'd sit down and tell you what we have been doing for the Christmas holiday. Yesterday being Christmas Eve Bill and I went out and about to pick up some last minute things. I even took him to Einstiens to get a bagel. then headed off to starbucks t get me a Chai frapachino Yummy! Landon was still sleeping when we left and Tanner had took off to the neighbors house. We were gone until 1:00. I then started cooking I made some meatballs I cooked them in a jar of grape jelly and a jar of salsa. I let the jelly and the salsa cook together then I added the meatballs I let them cook for about an hour and half. pretty tasty! I had to make 2 batches. At 5:00 Bill's family came over. I made hero sandwhiches jello salad and Dorothy (Bill's Mom) made a green salad and brought some chips Bill's brother Dawain came and so did my mom. After dinner we opened presents Bill's parents gave us a new BBQ grill AWESOME! and they gave Tanner a bike pump and headphones for his ski helmet. Dawain and the grandparents gave Landon a new IPOD finally something that made him SMILE! We gave George and Dorathy a waffle maker and a gift card to the movies. and to dawain we gave him some metel jacket headphones for his IPOD. We really had a nice evening everyone stayed until 9:00 then they all headed home. We stayed up and watched the movie Hancock. Then I had to wrap all the presents I got to bed at 1:00 at 1:10 I can hear someone moving around it's Tanner trying to sneak downstairs to peek at his presents I hurry and cut him off at the pass and head him back to bed he does this another time, I finally just don't care and I finally fall asleep. But who is up at 6:30 you guessed it Tanner. I had told him not to come into me until at least 7:00 so right at 7:00 here he is I talk him into another half hour. so we get up and dressed head downstairs and opened our presents. Landon got a new skateboard and shoes, shirt, bath towel and even new underwear! Tanner got a bunch of clothes and a chest/back protector for mountain biking the game life and new underwear! Tanner got me a new sweater and Bill a new pen set for work. Now we are at Grandma Hatt's waiting for everyone to get here. So far what a great Christmas!

I've been a sickie

It has been a long time since I have been sick but I am now! Wednesday at work I started to get a tummy ache but didn't really thing much of it but when I got home it started to get worse, I begun to feel like I was going to throw up. I hung in there, Bill and I ran to Walmart when I got home I called Lorraine my manager to tell her it was possible I might not make it to work I was feeling worse. By 10:00 it had hit me. Oh I jate doing that! I was a few times during the night by 6:10 I was up getting the kids up to get ready for school. I called work to say I wouldn't be in. I am glad I called Lorraine last night this way it will not be counted as an occurance. I hate having to call in I feel like I put my responsibilties onto everyone else without any notice. I guess it happens to everyone evry now and then. I am feeling a lot better but my tummy still hurts a little. I feel hungry so I eat then it starts hurting again, hope this is over with soon.

Saturday Morning Wake Up Call

I know it's been a long time since I last blogged but this story is sure to make up for it!
Saturday morning I woke up to the phone ringing and as usual no one in the family answers the house phone but me so I jump out of bed and run down the hall to find that the kids had looked at the caller ID and found that it was one of those great 800 calls so I turn to go back to my room when I look into the kitchen to find it filled with smoke......This wakes me up pretty fast I glance around to find what is causing this and look at the microwave to see the inside in FLAMES! I yell who in the heck did this?? they both come running to see what I am freaking out about. Landon say's it was Tanner and Tanner is standing there with eyes as big as dollars saying I was just trying to make hot chocolate I said looks like its HOT alright, Oh my gosh I can't believe this! I open the door to find that the cup Tanner had choosen to use was a insulated coffee mug that had a screw in the botton with a metal ring around the top. Humm can't imagine why this started on fire! the mug has fallen over leaving no water in the mug with a huge amount of melted plastic to the turn table which was on fire. I quickly felt the mug which was oddly only warm I take it out and throw it in the sink now what to do with the turn table, I touch it to find it in the same condition as the mug.. only warm I take it out and put it in the sink and turn the water on it which as we all know shatters the glass turn table into 3 large pieces. the inside is completly black. Tanner has run into his room crying and I am mad! Landon opens all of the kitchen windows and I clean up the mess. I then go and get ready for the day so I could go do some Christmas shopping by this time it is really snowing hard and Tanner is still pouting and telling me he is going to run away that he cannot stand to live here knowing what he has done.
I obviously tell him he is not going anywhere and he heads off to his room. Sometime when I am not paying attention he sneaks out of the house and is off running away! I figure that he really won't be gone very long if for no other reason than the weather. So I head off to the mall to find Tanner walking down the next street over so I pull over to ask where he is running to and he tells me he is not sure, I advise him that it would be in his best interest to not go to far as am I am heading out to shop for him so if he wants anything for Christmas he should be home before I am. about an hour later when I returned he was home and saying he was sorry he didn't know the mug would start a fire!

What what a way to start the morning!

Going Out!

I told Landon that Bill and I were going out on Saturday and he told me why you're already married.  So I guess we are considered to OLD to go out.  But anyway Bill and I went out to dinner and to a movie at the movies we even splurged with an ice cream.  We started by going to a place called Mikados it is  Japanese food. I had a really good Chicken dinner and Bill had Sushi.  It was really good and different.  We took the left overs home then headed to the movies.  We went and seen Eagle Eye.  Very entertaining movie.  While we were waiting for the movie we had some ice cream. YUMMY!   I even seen a guy I work with Leland and his wife.  They told me they are expecting a baby in May.  I think that is like 13 or 14 people who are having babies since last year.  Don't worry I won't drink any water at work.   Friday was Halloween and both the boys went out and about with their friends.  I stayed home and handed out the treats. I love to see all the little kids dressed all up.  It makes me miss those days.  We are actually at Bill's parents house right now.  I am using their new MAC computer.  Pretty nice.  They had us over for dinner it has been awhile since we have seen them.  Thanks for having us over for dinner and a nice little chat.

Viva Las Vegas

I traveled to Neveda this week for work. There was 4 of us that went. We stayed at the Monte Carlo. Our trip started off with a small boy on the suttle to the airport he was a pistol!! he had a headlamp on shinning in all our faces, and then he was talking so loud that everyone could hear with no trouble what so ever. We found out that he licked the seat and had gems on his tounge so he was spitting all over the window to get the gems out. He then found the Emergency Exit and grabbed the lever but informed his Mom that he was not going to open it that he was making sure it wouldn't open. when she told him to let go he informed her again that he was no longer going to touch her best news she had heard all morning! Have I mentioned I think he was 3? Got to the airport having nightmares he would be on the plane sitting next to me. I said a quick prayer and it was answered We never seen him again. We left Salt Lake at 8:23 and arrived in Vegas at 8:30 Wow they fly fast these days. (Time Change) Our meeting was to start at 12:00 we decided to see if we could by chance check in... We were in luck, rooms were ready. We all went to our rooms and checked them out. and decided to meet at 11:30 to head down to our meeting. I discovered in my room I had no soap of any kind. ( glad I threw some in my bags) I also found if I was to have gotten hungry I could have eaten old fries on the bathroom floor. Ohh Yumm! I then around very carefully to nake sure the bed looked clean and my towells, Looked ok. I then unpacked and ironed my clothes for the next day. 11:00 came around Darci called me and said she couldn't stay in her room another min, so we took off early. found our meeting room and they informed us we was to go eat. so we went were they told us and it was closed...Hmmm. maybe they are opening soon, then again maybe not it was completly dark sign said closed on Wednesdays.. We decided we'd better go back upstairs finally find it and they inform us that we now have only 5 mins to eat. Oh what a trip. We scarf our food and run to the meeting. Today each office has to do their presentation of what their office accomplished this year. I have learned to like to stand and talk in front of people but this made me nervous! we ended up be 4th in line. I had a hard time concentrating on the ones before me. When it was our turn I did ok, I forgot my lines once or twice but jumped back in quickly.
At dinner that night at Diablos Our head Market Manager announced the winners of the presentation and Our office took 3rd out of 7 offices which means we brought back $$$ for our office to use as they want.. Can you say PARTY cool! I was exhausted after dinner so I went and gambled $5.00 and it lasted me a whole 30 seconds, Wow now there was more fun than I deserved. I went back to my room feel to sleep by 10:00 first I called home and then to my Mom. The next day was more meetings until 1:00 our flight didn't leave until 5:50 we find a park bench to sit at in the hotel for the next 2 hours then headed to the airport. We had a lady on the plane that was drunk and loud. using language that was very insulting. they almost escorted her off the plane long before it was even taking off. She finally got a little softer but we could still hear the @#$@% words WOW. got Salt Lake at 8:30 Home at Last at 9:00.
Just another adventure.

It Might Be The Last Weekend for Biking

This is what Bill and Tanner did while I was in Fairview. (Bill is on the top Tanner on the bottom) They are up off of "I" Street at the jump park. They wanted to get in at least one more weekend on the bikes. They picked a good day, it was not to cold or hot. They also went up to snowbird to get their passes for skiing, Landon went with them and they also found Tanner a new coat and Landon a new bennie. We bought Landon all new stuff for skiing at the end of last season. So now that they are not going to be on the ski team this year Tanner needed a new coat. Landon hung out at the skate park with his friends. I'm going to have to go take some pictures of him but it's a little diffcult there is really no good spot to stand and take pictures there are boards and blades flying every where. One day I will get them.. Anyway I'm glad we all had a good time.

I WAS CRAFTY!!

Well here is what I did while I was off work for a couple of days. I took my mom and went to Fairview to visit my Aunt Nancy. Nancy and her friend Sophie do a girls weekend and everyone makes a birdhouse. It is such a great time! It is so interesting how we all start off with basically the same house (there are 2 different styles) and how different everyone thinks to decorate them . There is never two the same. Although my mom would like to copy exactly how Karen paints her's. Karen's is the third from the right, it is a halloween house and it turned out so cute! We stayed up untill 12:00 midnight painting. We always eat and paint at Sophie's house and sleep at Nancy's house. We finally hit the bed around 1:00 AM I think we finally fell to sleep around 2:00 We couldn't quit talking. The next day we went back for breakfast and then hit the boutiques. I bought a cute picture frame to put on my kitchen table. I should have taken a pic of that as well, I didn't think about it. We also ent and visited a family friend I haven't seen in years, Oleah Mower. We then went back and had some lunch, then finally headed home around 4:30. It was a nice drive home, Seen a lot of deer hunters as it was the opener for the hunt. Can you believe I didn't get lost once. ( and no I didn't use my GPS) You just never know where we might end up. Our sense of direction is sometimes a little off. Any way we had a great time! It was fun to go see my Aunt and Uncle . Thanks for the wonderful weekend! My birdhouse is the red one.

Tanner's 50 Miler Picture

All summer Tanner's scout group worked on a biking merit badge. In order to receive this badge they had to go on several rides. They had to complete 2, 10 mile rides 2, 15 2, 25 and 1, 50 mile ride. for thier 50 miler they started in Coalville and crossed the boarder to Wyoming and back to coalville. They left home at 6:30 AM. and returned home at 3:00PM. Tanner said they had a great time. They made one stop for lunch and a few others for drink breaks. He was completely tired when he got home. Here is the group picture they took. Tanner is the 2nd from the left.

WOW LOOK AT HIM!

Check Landon out! he has a smile without braces. He got his braces off on the top, still has them on the bottom. It's about time he has had them on since 4Th grade. ( off and on that is). We was beginning to wonder if they were going to be a permanent fixture. He got them off on Tuesday of this week. After school he went to the skate park and his friend told him that his teeth were "Pretty" and I'd say I agree.

Moab Weekend

Bill and Tanner headed to Moab last Friday to do some mountain biking Tanner has been waiting a long time to go to slickrock and mushroom drop. Since there was no school on Friday they left early. They found a camp spot pretty easy so they set up camp then headed for a ride. I guess they had a blast. Tanner was in heaven. Lots of people kept asking Tanner how old he was when they found out he was 13 they couldn't believe he was riding these trails one mom came up to him and said that her 16 and 18 year would never dare to ride where he had rode. I guess there are not many young kids that go riding down there. The picture shows him at the top of the mushroom drop. (I can tell you one thing if you promise not to tell Tanner) he did not jump this jump. it is about a 10-12 foot drop and it lands right on another rock. Bill didn't feel like making a trip to the hospital so he wouldn't let him do it and to be honest I don't think Tanner would have he just talks big but that's it.
While those two were out having fun in Moab Landon and I were at home (Landon is not into biking) so on Friday night we went to McDonalds then up to snowbird to take some skis and coats up to try to sell at the swap. Afterwards I dropped Landon off at the skate park and I went home to clean and do laundry. Landon had a friend stay the night then the next day I went to work and Landon and his friend returned to the skate park later that afternoon another one of Landons friend invited him to the "Big A**"( that was the name I promise) concert at the Usana center he was way excited he has wanted to go to a concert way bad. they left around 2 and I went and picked them up around 10:00 he has not stopped talking about it since. I didn't have anything going on so I asked my mom to go to a movie with me so we went and seen Fly Boys what a great show. I think I'll have to buy it. We also went to Astro and had lunch what a fun relaxing day. Looks like we all had a great weekend!

Could This really be?

Can you believe Tanner has grown facial hair. Wow that happened really fast. All I did was take him to Reams and he came home looking like this! He was so excited he told me he is going to be a "Rock Star" for Halloween so here is a partial preview. He was so funny he had to go to his friend Eric's to show him, Eric was so excited that they had to ride down to reams to get him one. Eric's mom called me laughing up a storm I guess they got some pretty good pictures of the two of them together. Thanks for the good LAUGH Tan!

I'm a Great Aunt again..Wahooo!!

It's true!! I now have a new nephew he was born in Hawaii on September 24th 2008. His name is Kael Hart he is cute, looks just like his Dad, Austin who is Bill's brother's (Steve) son. Austin and Brenna were married last year on November 26th , Austin is in the Air Force and stationed in Hawaii. I am so happy for them!! can't wait to hear more news about him all I know is that he is here. I am sure it will be along time before I see him in person it really could be years especially because when they come back home it will be to Idaho that is where Austin and Brenna were orginally from. both of their families still live there. It's still fun to know that I'm a new Aunt! Wow I remember when Austin was born it was way fun I use to tend him a lot when his mom had to work. I can't believe that now he is a DAD! Hold on your on the ride of your life!. CONGRATS!!

Gave A Helping Hand

Last Thursday I was able to go help Sara Newton a lady that lives in my neighborhood. She broke her hip while jogging. she is a young mom with the cutest little girl ever! I got to go over to their home and help out with the baby and do what I could for Sarah. I had such a fun time! But boy have I forgot what it is like to care of a little one. It's a full time job but a great one. The baby's name is Grace and she she was so good for me I have really never been around her and she came right to me and we played and had a good time when it was time for bed she was an angel! she went right to sleep (I got to rock her to sleep) I remember those days that was such a great way to spend time with your little one. I then tidied up her kitchen and helped her into bed. We had a great visit, the Newtons are new to our ward. Sarah had just been put in young womens right before I was released. I really enjoyed this evening. Hope she is better fast.

IT SEEMS LIKE SUCH A LONG TIME AGO AND YET LIKE YESTERDAY

An event took place 17 years ago this month on the 5th. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I can remember the whole day, even to what I was wearing. I still find it hard to believe that it has been 17 years. I remember her laugh, smile and her tiny features she seems perfect in my eyes she was a dream come true. She was a fun baby! a good baby! but she had her fussy times. I couldn't believe I had a Girl they are hard to come by on both sides of the family. I felt truly blessed. On September 4th 1991 my worst fears came true My Jailee had been rushed to Alta View ER she had stopped breathing. My world had been turned upside down in a flash. she was then life flighted to Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake. After doing all the doctors could do she was taken off life support the next day September 5th 1991 and took one final breath and passed peacefully away. I remember them placing her in my arms to say goodbye........

Today Jailee would be a Senior at Alta it is hard to imagine who she would be and what she would look like. Sometimes I feel paniky because the vision of her face leaves me, then all I do is think back to the great memories I have of her and it all comes back. I wonder all the time about what she would like to do, who would her friends be? Would we get along?

I do have to say that even though I only had her for almost 7 months I am glad I had her in my life. I think she helped me be the Mom, wife and friend I am today. I am so glad that I was able to hold, hug and kiss her for as long as I did. I was blessed because she is my daughter. I will be blessed to hold again someday. That day will be a great day!

Untill then I will continue to hold hug and kiss the 3 men in my life Bill, Landon and Tanner and be grateful for what I do have right now. These 3 will help me to laugh, love and smile and even cry at times for the rest of my life. I LOVE my family with all my heart.

TANNERS TURN TO BE INJURED

Tanner has gone all summer with really no major accidents, with all his biking almost everyday I have found that to be a blessing! and a big Whew....but today his luck ran out! When he got home from school he called and said he was heading to the gully by the skate park to work on building a bike jump. I of course asked who was going with him and he stated that none of his friends could go so he was going by himself. And again I told him I didn't like him going off by himself but of course what do I know? I had to stay late at work to finish up a couple of things so I was just leaving work around 5:30 on my way home I thought I would call him to see if he wanted a ride home. He answered the phone at almost the same time it would have gone to voice mail I immediately knew something was wrong. He was not his happy self and when I asked what was the matter he said he had tried his new jump and crashed he was now crying very hard he said he thinks he broke his arm (right) I ask him where he is at as he has his bike and a shovel and now an injured arm, he tells me he is walking home home pushing his bike and carrying the shovel, I tell him to stay where he is and that I'll call Dad to go get him. He thinks he can keep going. I call Bill and tell him whats going on and to head to where Tanner is at. Of course he doesn't call me back so I worry all the way home. I get home to see that Tanner looks like his has been through the war. His chin is scrapped and the side of his cheek but to my suprise his arm doesn't look broken and he can move it pretty good but not without hurting. I give him a some advil get him in the tub by the time he gets out he says his arm doesn't hurt as bad. I guess we'll have to see what the morning brings? We also tell him that is one very good reason why you don't go off by yourself. I hope he remembers this event in the future!

SUMMERS OVER ?

Now that school is back in session it really feels like the summer is done.........and what do we have to show for it? well we did go to San Diego but that was it. I feel kinda jipped we didn't go to Bear Lake once, that is sad a few years ago we went so much that Tanner said to me one day "What are we the Bear Lake Freak Family?" So that's what we've called ourselves ever since. It just felt like it would cost us so much in gas this year to do anything. I almost hated to start the car at all. Just to go to work and back and the little bit of chasing you have to do I have spent and average of 60-80 dollars a week on gas :( I hate it! then there is this food bill I have I think I am spending 3-500 a month easy maybe more . I wish we didn't have to eat. Oh Ok I'll stop my bellyaching I know it doesn't help. Maybe I should get a 2nd job. Oh wait I'm a mom I guess I need a 3rd job! When would I ever have time?

Tanner seems to be doing faily well in school so far but on day 4 I get a call from his history teacher, she wants to know how she can stop him from talking hmmmm I wonder we he gets that from? she apparently doesn't know me know does she? I just tell her that I'll talk with him and see if we can work something out. since our talk he seems to be not so chatty.

Landon is taking Drivers Ed. WATCH OUT! just kidding. I have taken him driver a few times and he does a pretty decent job. He is also in POWER LIFTING wow if you know what he looks like you're probably asking what is he lifting? he is the skinnest kid ever. He came home the first day and said that the kids in this class scare him I asked why? and he said they are HUGE I suggested that he becomes their best friend and not to anger them. maybe we could buy them dounuts occassionally? just a suggestion. he tells me that he can lift 60-80 lbs at 4 repititions. over the weekend he asked me if I could see a difference in his muscle tone..........Of course I can I said, I was going to mention it, just forgot to?

That is the 1st week and a half of school. better get to my primary calling. Talk soon.

Oh My Gosh I Have a High Schooler!!

Well on Aug. 13th Landon had to go register for High School What a process! I took the morning off work to go with him. Can I just say 3 words? " Not Long Enough" We were there at 9:00 AM we walk into the school and who knows where you're to start, kids and parents everywhere. I finally see a line with a #1 so I figure that's were we start. The line is long and it appears that there is only 1 person helping in line 1. while line 2 and 3 have a couple of people and hardly anyone in line so I venture over there but on no you can't go to those until you've been to 1. I get to looking it appears there are about 8 lines to get through after about an hour we are at the desk I have a stack of papers with me so I just hand them all to her she thumbs through and pulls out 1 maybe 2 papers and hands the rest back to me and stamps a card and tells us to go to 2. Are you kidding each line only takes one of the pre-filled out forms? We have one of Landon's friends with us and I'm trying to help him to. We get to line 4 it is for pictures, they find his name then hands him a card now they tell him he needs to stand in line to get his picture taken, I decide to go get in the line to pay, after another hour or more I am at the desk to pay and Landon meets up with me there then we have to go get in line for his schedule. (are you keeping trak of time?) the next line is PTA hand in that form then it's off to get a locker, I take one look at that line and know that I will seriously be there another hour or two, I advise Landon that he is old enogh to handle this job on his own with his friend and I am out of here. it is 10:55 I am 10 mins away from 2 hours to register. I head to work and make it in time for lunch I make a quick stop at Taco Bell ahnd run upstairs to the breakroom to hurry and eat I am starved. I called Landon around 1:00 to see if they are done and he informs that the schools computer crashed after he had waited over an hour and they sent everyone home. Glad I didn't stay!! they had to go back on Monday to get their locker. It seems like there should be a faster easier way to get registered? 2 nights ago Landon was at the skate park around 7:00 he was calling me to come and get him, that's odd I ask what's the matter and he tells mer he thinks he broke his toe. I'm on my way...... I get there to pick him up and I get really mad he is in his new red pants and new school shoes.he hobbles to the car and gets in and what do I say.... Why are you wearing your new clothes to the skate park? he replies with whats wrong with that? and he asks is that all your worried about? now he is mad beacuse I'm not showing concern for his toe? I remind him that he is almost wearing $150.00 and he told me he wouldn't wear these to the park. I get him home and take a look at his toe, looks broken to me but I also know that there isn't much they can do for this kind of break. I get an ice pack and give him some Advil and tell him I'm sorry. He is still hobbling a little bit and his toe is purple. I guess it's not that bad he has gone to his first high school STOMP! I sure hope he has fun!! I remember going to those and having a really good time! Tanner has been working on a merit badge for biking. he has had to go on two 10, two 15 and two 25 mile bike rides and in three weeks he will go on a 50 miler. So this morning he got up at 6:30 to go on his last 25 miler they rode to Thanksgiving Point and back, If I had gone with I'm really not sure I would have made it there let alone come back and I'm sure I would have ended up in the hospital in traction! I don't know how he does it? then of all things Tanner and Bill and Tanners friend Erich went to Park City for another ride can you say "Oh my butt" I know for sure I wouldn't be walking tonight. They rode another 20 miles. He is really tired. and hasn't moved much from the couch. Bill too. I had a baptism to go to today and a ton of laundry to do infact I'm still not done. It's almost 10:30 better go hit the sack.

Wow! It's been a long time!

The last time I wrote on this blog was a few weeks ago and I was getting my family ready to go to San Diego. Can I just say We had a BLAST. Bill was going for work so that meant if the rest of us were going to do anything it was up to me to get there! Now if you know me you'll now that I am not adventerous on my own and that means having someone else with me that might be able to help direct me. Since I am the only other driver /adult in the car it was up to me to get us anywhere. The first day I thought that surely I'd be able to get us to the beach the directions looked easy enough and Bill had already taken us to the proximent area. My new car also has a GPS so I thought for sure I could get there. But when I went to input the beach it wouldn't come up not even as a area attraction (come on who doesn't want to go to the beach if your on vacation?) so I told the kids, get in, sit down, buckle up, cause I'm not sure where we'll end up we're going on an adventure! I took the directions from the hotel and I followed them perfectly until it said follow the rollercoaster which I did but I couldn't get to it. I must have driven in a 3-4 mile circle 4-5 times. I finally stopped and asked someone. I was not following the right coaster it was up and over the hill. duh I couldn't see the thing. so after about 30 mins we were at the beach. Tanner had brought his boogie board so he and Landon were going to share. ( ha ha ha) They had a really good time and I proceeded to sunburn the top of my feet. I think I do that every year. (slow learner) we stay there till its time to get Bill picked up. We come back to the beach after and go have dinner at a nice mexican restuarant. Overall we had a great day! Day 2 I get up and get ready and take Bill to work and I come back and get the kids up and going. We are off to Sea World one of my favorite places I pretty much know where this is from day one's drive. We get there in under 10 min. We go see it all we had to sit in all the "Soak Zones" for all the shows. I am seriously sloshing in my shoes and I am drenched from head to toe. I LOVE the Shamu show! it just makes me smile about 20 years ago when Bill asnd I went I was picked from the audience so go be a helper during the show! It was a blast! I think the kids really liked Sea World maybe not as much as I do but they had a good time. We was not home in time to pick up Bill so he rode the train back and we picked him up at the train station. After that we went to eat at yet another mexican place. had a fun time. Day 3 went back to the beach there was a rip tide that day and they had to keep moving us down the beach/ocean there was also a Wave House located on the beach that you could surf/boogie board on fake waves. Landon and Tanner wanted to try. so we set a time to do that from 1-2 and Tanner really got into it and was able to do a few minor tricks. Landon just kept hurting his knee so he quit for awhile. he eventually went and tried again. I took pictures, that is always my job! Day 4 off to the San Diego zoo. 1st I stopped at subway to pick us up some lunch to take with us to keep in a cooler. Sea World about broke me for lunch $40.00 I didn't want to repeat that. and off we went. (Can I just say that other than the 1st day I haven't got lost once, that is great for me, I know I owe all the credit to the GPS but I think it still counts) any way we get to the zoo and it's huge and very nice it has a lot of shade and the exhibits are really BIG we saw all the animals and even though it was only in the 80's it felt a lot hotter than that. by about 12:00 we are ready to eat so we head back to the gate and get stamped so we can get back in and head for the car to eat. We stayed at the car for about 30 mins. then head back in. We think because it is lunch time that this weould be a good time to head the the bus tour and we were right we got right on unlike earlier where there was about a 2 hour wait. The tour lasted about 30-45 mins. after that we had seen the whole zoo minus the shows I think the kids were to hot and tired to care so we left and went and picked up Bill. That night Bill's work had a big dinner party at the park they had tons of games and stuff to do. They even a fortune teller I waited in line for that for almost 2 hours. She told me that in two years I would change jobs and companies (I don't think so) she told Bill the same thing other she added that he was going to meet a new woman with red hair and green eyes and she would make him very happy.......Huh! good luck!
even the boys did it. Tanner is going to be a bike designer and Landon will live along time and be successful at whatever he chooses. We get back to the hotel late and hit the sack we will start the trek back home tomorrow. Day 5 get up early and get everything in car and start for home we make it to Las Vegas where we stop to look around and have dinner, we end up at California Pizza and hit the mall at Ceasars Palace. Find nothing that interests us. it's almost 8 PM we are planning on staying at the Virgin River in Mesquite. Once we hit the parking lot it was almost 9:45 I call a friend of mine that use to work with me, Cheryl and low and behold she was at ther Virgin River so we hurried and checked in then went down to meet up with her and her husband Ben. Talked with them for about 20 mins then off they went back home and I went and found the kids in the arcade and headed back to our room Bill stayed up until 2:00 playing 21. came out ahead by 20.00 Whoa! Meet Cheryl in the morning for breakfast. then went and seen her house. Very Nice. then off we start for our last leg of our journey. on our way home we seen a 4 wheeler trailer on fire, a car crash an another fire with a truck carrying new cars very eventful . Thank heavens nothing involved us. made it home right around 5:30PM. What a FUN FUN trip. Will have to catch you up on the following week another day. This is a lot for one entry.

I AM NUTS

Ok for starters I really don't know why my last entry posted twice, and for that matter it's even a tad bit different. When I was adding that post I hit a button on my computer and my screen went blank so I started over and the hit post both entries came up. So don't ask me I don't know anything.

Went home last night and started my laundry and then went to mervyns Tanner needed a new swim suit. since his recent weight loss of 20 lbs. I am so proud of him he has done really well! I found me some new PJ's and a sweat outfit, Tanner also found a couple of shirts he liked for school so I picked them up as well. I would have gotten something for Landon but he doesn't like the clothes at Mervyns so he'll have to wait tell he gets back or maybe we'll find somethings in San Diego for him. Tanner is already packed! and now that my laundry is done I can start tonight.

It is my boss' birthday sunday she is turning 60 so we decorated her desk with all 6o related stuff and made posters that said "Wanted missing senile manager if found return to her department" and added her picture we put them everywhere! we also made her a gift basket with other necessities of being 60! We made her laugh and gave her a memory of her 60th birthday she'll never forget.

Fun Days!

A BUSY WEEK

Since being released from young womens I have been on the go. I have had so many meetings some with the new young womens presidency to hand over books and information I had. and 1 with the new primary presidency. Bill thinks I am nuts! oh well sometimes I think so too!

Landon was up early today at 6:00 AM he is off to Jackson Hole for a river run trip with the scouts. he'll return on Saturday sometime. depending on when he gets home will determine when we leave for San Diego. So we could leave Saturday or possibly Sunday if it's to late Saturday. Hope he has fun!!

Tanner is hanging at home today. Tonight I will have to start getting things ready for our trip.

Help I'm running out of time! I'll make it I always do!

A Busy Week

My night's are still going nuts, ever since I got released from young womens I have had a meeting of some sort. I meet with the new 2nd counslor to inform her of the class and to give her all the books and information. then last night I had a Primary presidency meeting, that went for almost 2 hours. Wow! when I got home Landon and 4 of his friends came in the house they are funny kids our house immedately was loud and full of life it was almost 10:00. they all helped themselves to a soda and was looking for snacks. I don't have much right now cause on Sunday we are leaving for San Diego so I haven't bought much for the house. They stayed for only a few minutes then out they went agian. Landon was back in around 10:30 and I shewed him off to bed he had to get up early this morning at 6:00 to head off for scout camp they are going river running in Jackson Hole Lucky!! he will be home on saturday, his hand is looking a lot better and he can use it again. yeah!

Gabby

I worked late yesterday so I didn't get home until after 6:30, Bill was the only one home and he was on the computer so I didn't see him right away. Tanner was at Colby's house and Landon was out doing who knows what? I decided I really didn't want to fix a big dinner so I made a roast pork sandwhich it was pretty tasty!! I tried calling Landon several times to find out where he was but no answer on his cell phone. Hmmmmm theres a suprise! around 7:30 I decided I would go for a drive to see if I could find him as I rounded the 1st corner there he and his friend Brent was walking towards home. When I asked why he hadn't answered his phone his said it had died??? (in his defense he has been having some issues with his cell phone) and Brent said he doesn't have one. so since they were out skating they couldn't call me. I told them I would talk with them later and I decided I would go and talk to a friend (Natalie) about the upcoming school year carpool boy now there is a hot topic right! I ended up staying and chatting for over an hour. So by now it's 9:00 and I remember I still need to go get Tanner picked up Colby's parents are probably thinking that Tanner is moving in he has been there al day. So we say our goodbyes and I head to get Tanner, after cahtting with the Pratt's for min. we go home and the Ipson's are out and they want me to come in to see their new puppy (Kingston) he is a really tiny dog. really cute!, Then Wendy was waiting to chat. It is now 10:00 and I don't think I have seen Bill yet. Poor Bill he is not chatty like me! Thank heveans he is use to it.

A BIG CHANGE

Sunday morning I had to go meet the Bishop along with the whole Young Womens Presidency. As you can guess we were all released! (Kathy Blair-President, Serena Farr-1st counslor, Linda Hart (me) as 2nd counslor and Virginia Anderson-Secretary) We had all been in together for almost 2 1/2 years. I have been in Young Womens since 2003 I have been a teacher, secretary, 2nd counslor, and personal progress advisor. I have loved this calling!! but since the girls stay in about the same length of time as myself I feel like I am graduating from young womens. Right after I was released they asked me to be the secretary of Primary. So did I graduate? Even though I will really miss the girls it was probably time for me to move on...... It is going to seem really strange having Wednesday nights open now.

On Sunday afternoon I had my mom and her friend (my second Grandma) Wanda over for dinner. I made a pork roast, mashed potatoes, fresh greenbeans and a green salad. for dessert rootbeer floats. it was very tasty mmmm. After dinner my mom, Wanda and myself got looking at some old books that my Granda Hatt had put together they were old obituaries and wedding announcements. and her journal. we laughed a lot brought back some great old memories and told us some things we didn't even know. We must have look at these old books for over an hour. Then a big old wind storm hit and the skies were getting black and so I shewed my mom and Wanda home in case it started to rain I wanted them to be home before it did.

I love Sunday afternoons like this.

Vacation Time Again?

It's saturday and I have been on vacation all week. We ended up not going anywhere. I took Tanner to Park City for his riding group after I dropped him off I went over to the outlet mall and checked out all the stores. I found a travel bag I want for when I have to go overnite for work. I ended up not getting it but I might the next time I take Tanner.

Landon was out skateboarding when they were skating in a train with his friends his was the first one going down the bowl as they were going down someone eles was coming towards them so Landon bailed off his board his was fine from that but when he went to pick up his board he had a hold of it with his right hand on the end when one of his friends was coming down and rammed his board into Landon's hand (his hand was squished between the boards) yikes! Landon kept skating for awhile as he was coming home his hand started to hurt by the time he got home he couldn't move it, it was swollen and his pinky finger and ring finger were numb. I was out talking to Wendy and he came over and showed me I told him to get in the car so I could take him to nite time ER. I thought for sure his hand was broken, it wasn't!! I couldn't believe it this was the 3 rd time in less than a year that I have taken him there for a skating injury. and each time I thought he had broken something and each time it wasn't I think he has bones of steel, I was teasing Landon that I wasn't taking him again unless I seen a bone sticking out. I really am glad he hasn't broken anything but I still can't believe it. I have taken him back to his regular doctor to have him check it because it wasn't getting better. He has no grip and his fingers are still swollen. his finger are still numb and his still says it hurts. his doctor put him on a prescription to take the swelling down. (an anti-infamatory) and for pain. He has been on that for a few days. it seems to be helping. if it is not all better in 5 days he is to go see a specialist. Hope we don't have to do that. he has scout camp (jackson Hole river run) this upcoming week then we head to San Diego.

Tonight Bill and I went to the new Sams Club on Bills scooter while we were there, there was a severe rain storm, it was a down pour and the wind was blowing so hard. when we came out to leave there was carts being blown all over the parking lot running into cars causing lots of damage it was amazing to see. I felt bad for those people. I then looked over and noticed that my helmet was gone it had blown off the scooter. The rain slowed down so we were able to go look for it. We looked everywhere we couldn't find it. I decided to go ask the people inside if someone had brought it inside? Someone had brought it in that was good! We headed home while it was a little calm. It never started raining again so we made it home without any incidents.

My friend Brenda just called I will sign out for for now, gotta go get caught up with her.

It's all work

Work is going crazy right now. This week we will be getting a new computer program it will change a lot. We will still do the same thing just the way we do it will change. but in the mean time we are all going crazy..... I have had to do some overtime. but this coming week I'm on vacation again. It will be nice to just relax. we are not really going to do much gas prices have gone through the roof last time I checked $4.15 a gallon OUCH! in a couple of weeks we will be heading to San Diego Bill has a work conference so the kids and I are tagging along. I'll have to tell you all about it when we get back...Landon is almost done with his summer school he only has to finish up his book reports. Tanner has been having an awesome summer he has been biking like a mad man. and in the middle of doing that he has lost 21 lbs. he is looking great! good job Tanner! Everyone at school will be amazed at the change. They may wonder, hmmmm who is this kid? then they will say is that you Tanner. I even took Landon to the mall on Saturday to look at some school clothes he found a piar pf pants that he really liked they are white Krew pants. I think he is nuts to buy white pants but they do look really good on him! I can't believe that he is going into High School Wow........I'm feeling really old.

Starting to see better

Bill has had lasik eye surgery today. He had it done about 8 years ago and his eyes have changed a bit. The 1st time he had it done they made one eye for distance, the only for close up. This has always bugged him so today he had the right eye fixed so it was the same as the other one. He had to be there by 3:30 and he was in and out by 4:45 I picked him up at 5:00 brought him home he is suppose to nap for awhile. I picked up a pizza for dinner.

Tanner has been helping the neighbor mow his grandpa's lawn so he did that today. Landon worked on his history packet he only has 2 more chapters then he'll be done with that one. He still needs to read the book "Who moved my Cheese" and complete a book report and then he'll be completly done with summer school. Lets hope he has learned a few things by this expereince.

Things have been a little different

It has been 1 week since I last wrote. All of last week Bill and Tanner were gone to Bear Lake Scout camp. So that left Landon and myself home. I had to work everyday. Landon only had to work 1 day and that was Friday 11:30-2:00. Landon has been skating almost everyday. He has a friend, Cody that lives by the skate park so he ventured there a couple of days. 1 day he went to Grandma Hatt's to help dig up some tree stumps and help her with some old ceramic molds, she is cleaning them all up so she can try to sell them, she is not doing a lot of ceramics these days. Landon had Cody come with, not always a good idea to have friends come along when there is work to do they get side tracked pretty easy, not only that but that made Landn want to leave more quickly. After lunch they took off back to the skate park. That evening as I was getting home from work my neighbor Shanna was just getting home as well and was locked out of her house so she came over and I fixed dinner for us (spagetti) she stayed until 9:00 it was nice to have someone to visit with! After she left I went and picked up Landon from Codys. Came home and just relaxed. Landon had some homework to get done so I read a book, it is about Scott Peterson he murdered his wife back in 2000 on Christmas Eve. She was pregnant and due in less than a month. It was an interesting book.

Tanner and Bill returned home without any problems on Friday around 4:00. They seemed to really enjoy the week.

Glad to be all together again.

Fun is over back to work for me!

Last night's BBQ went well. It was just my little family and Bill's parents. 1 of Bill's brothers lives in Idaho (Steve and Lisa) so obviously they could not come down for dinner. Dwain the middle brother lives just a few streets away for his parents but he is on vacation to San Diego so he was having way more fun than our dinner could have provided. Dwain is not married-hence why he can travel and have a beautiful home. Bill's mom Dorathy has just got a new little puppy it is a Havasu (big question if I spelled that right) his name is Frankie, he is so little and cute. Landon and Tanner love him they were constantly fighting over him. we left their house a little after nine so that Bill and Tanner could come home and finish packing for the scout trip to Bear Lake aquadics camp. Bill is going as a driver/leader of sorts. They are taking my new Highlander, so now I'll be stuck with the old bomb! (oh well at least I have something to drive) they left at six this morning. Tanner called me around ten this morning to tell me they were there and the tents were up and most importantly that the highlander did great and got 38 miles to the gallon, these days that is really good considering no one wants to drive anywhere because of the gas price of $4.00 per gallon. I'm home alone right now because Landon has gone to his friend Cody's house. apparently they are heading to the Herriman skate park. I've been doing a little bit of banking and decided to sit down and write in here for a bit. Bill has just called me from Bear Lake. Tanner has been swimming and rock wall climbing. and now they are getting ready for the campfire fireside.

I had to go to work today it was a real busy Monday after the Holiday!

What A Great Long Weekend

Right after work on Thursday I came right home and dug into yard work. Us and two of the neighbors went in on a big garbage bin so we could clean out our yards. We had a brick planter box and old piegon pen that we tore down. we have been working on the planter box for a couple of months. We had borrowed Ron's sledge hammer and Landon and Tanner have been working their guts out. It was to a point where Bill had to get involved to finalize the project. After the bricks were all thrown out I mentioned to Bill we ought to get rid of the piegon pen. On Friday when I went to pick up Landon from work Bill had knocked the pen down and just needed a hand to throw the bigger pieces away. Our backyard is finally looking a lot better. What away to spend the 4th of July....... Ron and Brody was asked to be apart of the Stadium of Fire, fireworks they were representing the Bow and Arrow side of the olympics. During a certain song and part of the song they were to shoot an arrow at the target and it would send up a firework. I guess they had a number of people for certain thymes of the summer olympics involved. but not all their fireworks went off when they hit their targets. At anyrate Ron had a couple of extra tickets so my mom and one of my kids were able to go. (I had them draw straws, the one who picked the short one got to go) Tanner was the winner, so off he went to see the show. Mylie Cyris ( Hannah Montana) was singing, along with the Blue Man group. He had a great time. He also spent the night at my mom's house and the next moring he got up and worked in her yard digging out old tree stumps, he planted some flowers and fixed her birdhouse in the ground and hung up her bird feeder. He was busy, busy, busy. We finished up in the yard and I had to hurry and do the wash and clean up around the house. I also had to work on my lesson for Young Womans on Sunday. I was late at getting my lesson prepared I kept putting it off. I still was not done with that when we had to leave for Gordon and Sandy's my whole side of the family was coming to their house for a BBQ. We were all able to go except Brody ( Ron's son). We all had a good time, we took many family pictures as a whole and seperate so when I get a copy I'll post them. Today I had to give my lesson for young womens, it went really well. I had a lot of compliments. I'm always relieved to hear that they learned something. We are heading to Bill's parents house for another BBQ. So I'll take more photos then post those as well. Well off we go for another round of laughter and fun.... Tell I'm at a computer without a virus. Ours should be fixed soon.

Catching Up

Our computer at the house has been attacked by a virus and been out of commission all week so I haven't had time to update all week. I am at work a bit early today so I thought I would wrote a few things. Last Saturday We all got up a little early and went to breakfast at IHOP while there Tanner told a lady that came around making balloons that it was my birthday so she made me a princess balloon crown. I had to wear it all through breakfast. After that Landon had to be to work at 11:30 It was a busy week On Sunday I had Bill's parents and my Mom over for dinner. We had a really nice visit. We do a lot of laughing.

Monday was back to work for me, ughhhhhhh. it's hard to get back into it again. I made it through the day just fine. Tuesday night Landon was out riding his skateboard when he came walking home it was getting dark but as he got closer I could see that he was carrying his board in two pieces he has broken his 2nd board, he had a pretty sad face. No he really wants to get his 1st pay check so he can go buy a new one! Last night Landon went down to the skate park to see his friends and came home with another board that some kid had just bought a new one so Landon asked if he could have his old one. Now he is happy again :) I also went to mervyns to get me a new pair of shoes while I was looking at shoes Landon and Tanner went to BC's to have them put the trucks and wheels on the new board Landon just got. After they got done they were walking back to meet me when 1bout 5 girls yelled at them to stop! They said they thought landon was cute and wanted to talk with them (Oh brother) on the way home Landon said that has been happening to him a lot lately ( oh no ) . I think I'm in trouble!!!

It is Thursday but on the work week it's Friday since tomorrow will be the 4th of July! YEAH

Fun Fun Fun

I have had a great two days. On Thursday I met my friend Peggy for lunch she invited me out for my birthday. We met at Mimi's we had a really nice visit. Afterards I came home and took the kids to the new Midvale skate park. Stayed there for about an hour. Ran to Sam's Club to pick a few items. Around 5 I went to dinner with my niece Melissa, Can I just say that I love her and I'm so glad that we get together every now and then. I really enjoy being around her and her husband Jeff, She caught a good one when she got him! I'm really glad he is in the family! We went to the Cheesecake Factory and had a really yummy dinner!

Today is my birthday I'm 24 :) my brother Ron called and invited me to lunch, we met at Cafe Rio Tanner came along. Landon was home busy doing homework! I am so glad that I get along so well with my brothers I am grateful that they are my brothers. I know that they would do anything for me and I hope they know I would do the same for them! The 3 of us had a really good lunch. Tonight we went to Park City for dinner Tanner's downhill riders group had a dinner at Squatter's. We had burgers, and salads pretty tasty! They also had a raffle and Tanner won a pair of handlebars for a bike ( I don't know what we'll do with those), they don't fit any bike we have. Oh well! Park City has a huge Skate park, I took Landon over there after we ate, he had a good time can't wait to go again.

Something really special happened today My good friend from work Leann had her 1st baby, she started into labor last night ended up having a c-section around 5:00 tonight. she is naming him Alexander Christopher Melby. One reason why this event is so special is because it was her 1st baby, and the obvious is that it is my birthday. but the really special reason is that Leann and my Tanner share the same birthday May 22 so now Alex and I share the same. I think some day soon the 4 of us will have to have a photo taken together. Now that will be Fun
CONGRATES to the Melby's they are an official family!!

What a way to celebrate my Birthday!!! Thanks everyone for sharing this day with me!

It's a Vaction Week!

Hi, It been awhile since I posted anything new. Over the weekend we had a Hatt family reunion on my Dad's side, it is always held the Sunday after Father's Day and we rotate who's family is in charge. We held it at the Riverfront park in South Jordan. It was a nice warm sunny day. we had a fairly good turn out. Even had some people come that have never came before It's always good to see new faces.

Monday Started my week of vacation away from work. It's been along time coming and I'm looking forward to the change. We are not going anywhere this time around so I'll be able to acomplish some tasks at home. I've been able to clean out the garage and sweep off the back patio and pull a lot of weeds. It is good to see some progress. If feels good! Landon has had to work Tuesday and Wednesday both days he worked 11:30-2:00 Tanner has been a big help around the house. today Tanner had his downhill biking in Park City, my mom was able to come with us. While Tanner rode with his group My mom and I were able to go shopping and to lunch. We really had a good time. I am so glad I have my mom and that we get along great! We just really enjoy being with each other, I'm so grateful for that. I am on my way out right now to go to Young Womens, we'll be playing volley ball and cooking s'mores. should be a lot of fun. Have to pick up Tanner and talk him to scouts. Landon went with Charlie to the Gate Way and will be home later. Bill has headed to Draper to help work on the biking trail again. We are always on the go it seems. I guess better that than couch potatos!

busy, busy as a bee

It's Saturday and I haven't wrote all week so I'll try to catch you up. Tuesday was a really fun night, Bill had his conference this week up at Snowbird on Tuesday night they had a dinner and passes to ride the zip line. Bill got me a ticket so we went up. When we got there we went to ride the zipline, the line was short but we still had to wait awhile. Once we got on it we had a blast. We didn't feel like waiting again so we just went and joined the "happy hour" I meet a few of the ladies that Bill knows from work. We had a good laugh with them. We then went in for dinner they had 3 different food lines with all different types of food. it was nice. It has been awhile since Bill and I went out.

Wednesday I took the day off work Tanner had his 1st day of the downhill biking at Deer Valley. Since Bill still had one more day of his conferece I was the one that got to take him. Landon had to work that day as well so I had a delima? how could I get Tanner to Deer Valley and Landon to work? Thank heavens for great neighbors Wendy across the street was able to take Landon to work for me. Bill programed the address to Deer Valley in the GPS we got with our new Toyota Highlander. So off Tanner and I went the direction the GPS gave were right on! took us right to the location. We were there way early, in fact 45 mins. early. So Tanner just biked around in the parking lot and I just listened to the radio. Tanner kept asking people he saw if they know where his group was meeting everyone he asked said the same thing there was no biking group meeting today it was on Thursday. I called his instuctor and he was just pulling into the parking lot. Tanner was sure glad he has been looking forward to this for along time. Finally the group was off they take the lift up and ride down. This meant that I now how 3 hours on my hands, oh what to do?? with so many outlet stores so close. so off I went. I first had to stop at Wendy's to get a strawberry shake and some lunch I had brought a book so I sat at wendy's for about 30 mins. and ate and read. Very relaxing. Then I took aff and went to the store and just looked around before I knew it, it was time to go pick up Tanner. On our way home I stopped and got Tanner some lunch then we headed for home. We called Landon to see if he was done working and he was so we went and picked him up and got him some lunch at Panda's then we had to go meet Bill at Goodyear the old car was making a bad noise so we dropped it to get it fixed then I had to take Bill back to work. Then the kids wanted to go to the skate park so I dropped them off and Then I went home to start dinner.

Thursday's a blur can't remember anything other than Tanner went to the skate park and stayed there for over 5 hours and got burned.

Friday after work We ventured to Sam's Club for the by-monthly shopping adventure, I'm getting sick of paying so much for food and gas. After that we watched Juno.
Tanner and Bill went for a bike ride and Tanner broke his derailer on his bike so now they will have to fix that.

Saturday Bill and Tanner went and got the parts for his bike. they were able to fix it quickly. they also went to a bike store and Tanner has found a bike he dying to get he has even told me that if I bought it for him that it would be an investment for me, I asked him how and he said that he would be the yard caregiver for life. the only problem is that this bike is probably close to $2,000 dollars. So the yard work would have to be for life. I told Tanner "keep Dreaming"

Do we really have to start a new week?

It's Monday and time to start another week, sometimes I wish I didn't have to. But since it's here it wasn't all that bad. One good thing is that I get to wear levi's to work all week. I was nominated "Super Star" of the month so that is one of the perks. It was a nice surprise! It was a regular busy day so at least it went by fast.

The kids went to friends houses today and to the skate park, then back to a friends neighbors for a swim. When I got home I decided to go out in the back yard and pull weeds, I got a lot accomplished. It feels good to see progress. The kids came home and helped.

Bill was late getting home today, he had a confrence for his work at Snowbird ski resort, they had a dinner afterwards that he stayed for. so he had a reprieve from his normal day.

A busy start to a new week.

It's the day of the Dad

Hey It's Dad's day!! which means he can do whatever he wants, Gee I wonder what that might be? Tanner decided to hang with him all day 1st they went for a bagel then took off for Park City to hit the biking trails, they did all they could, downhill, jumps and just some riding around. I was beginning to wonder would they ever come home. Landon and I went to church came home, I was able to take one of those great Sunday afternoon naps don't you just loves those? finally around 6 they gave me a call to say they were on their way home. I decided that I would take Bill out to dinner. We went to "The Pie" pretty tasty... We then dropped by Bill's Dad's house and visited with them for awhile. They just got back from Blackfoot Idaho dog show. Almost all the way home Landon and Tanner had to argue about if Landon could do some board trick? now they are outside seeing who was right. I'm pretty glad I'm in here.

Just a little blurp about the great Dads that have been in my life. First of all if I could see my dad I would want to give him the biggest hug ever. It has been 11 years since he passed away. I think about him a lot. I wish that my kids could have gotten to know him better. I think that he would have gotten a kick out of them. He would have been a great example to them. He loved to help people, he really enjoyed talking and laughing and being with his family.

Next is the Dad to my kids, I hope that they can how great he is and that he would do anything for them. I really don't know of another Dad who enjoys being around and doing so many different things with his kids as Bill. If there is fun to be had he is there.

So here's to all the great Dads....We LOVE YOU!

Landon get's permit

I bet by the title you're thinking could it be real, Landon's driving? Well I'm here to give relief.....NO he's not, not just yet anyway If he would get busy and read the driver's manual he could be on his way to take his test and get it. So now your thinking what permit could he have gotten? well Landon got a job at Artic Circle so he needed to get a food handlers permit. So far he has worked 4 days the 1st day he had to be to work at 8PM he was the ice cream man he made 17 cones and he lost count on how many shakes and sundaes he made. It took him awhile to get the cones down but by the end of the night he was a PRO. He only had 1 shake blow up but everyone told him that happenes a lot. The 2nd night was a repeat of the first without the bloopers. the 3rd was a night of bagging the food and delivering to the customers and the 4th day he worked the counter taking orders and working the register. Landon really likes his job. Now that he is almost done with training he can start getting more hours and hopefully lot's of $$. After all this Landon headed to the skate park. Robbie Landon's friend loaned him a board since Landon busted his about a week ago. Landon is getting really good at skateboarding, it's probably because he he is always there. He likes it so much he would live at the park if I would let him.

Bill and Tanner headed up the hills they are helping to make a biking trail which means a lot of diigin' in the dirt, ripping out trees and other plant life. Biking is their life!! So getting a new trail is exciting. They'll do anything to be able to ride on a new trail.

You might ask what did I do today? Well I hope you can contain your excitement but I went to work for a couple of hours then came home and cleaned the house and did the laundry. Are you ok? I know your probably jealous after all this is pretty fun!!

My house has gone to the dog

June 13, 2008 (this is Friday the 13th)

My cousin Alene Stocking asked Landon to watch her dog it is a weiner dog her name is Cara I have to say she is pretty darn cute, she LOVES Landon, not so much Tanner. I don't know why, I think it's because Landon hogs her and has always made her sleep with him. Any time Tanner would try to pet her, Landon would snatch her away. At first Tanner felt bad now he just deals with it. I do like one thing a lot about Cara and that is that she makes Landon go to bed, since school is out Landon likes to stay up late but when I went to bed Cara wanted to go to bed so she went into Landon's room and sat in front of his bed and wouldn't move Landon even tried to carry her back down staris to watch TV but she would just run backup the stairs and go to his room finally Landon just gave up and went to bed......Thanks Cara.

Yesterday Tanner kept calling me at work he couln't find his fishing pole I kept giving him ideas where to look but he always came up empty. finally Bill stopped by and was able to finally find it in the trailer under the table bench. He and the Joesph boys, Micheal, Christopher and Alex and Eric Carlson all wanted to head to the Wetlands to fish so now that Tanner has a pole they can finally go they spent several hours there. The Joesph's don't have poles they used a stick with some string and wouldn't you know it one of them was the only one who caught a thing. They apparently all had to handle this fish before they put it back because they all smelled fishy as all heck when they got home! Oh well what a great way to spend a nice summer day. That evening I took all of these boys excluding Eric to Datus an archery place Tanner has been begging me to take him. I dropped them all off then went and visited with my Mom, we had a nice visit. and the boys had a fun time. What a busy day. It's Summer!!! I better get use to it.

What a Phone call can make you think about

Yesterday I received a call from a friend I use to work with Cheryl Peterson. She had news about another lady I worked with years ago. The news was that Tanya Grey's husband had passed away on Monday while on vacation. They were on a hike and sat down to rest and just fell over, they tried to do CPR and called 911 right away but to no avail he died. Whenever I hear these kind of stories it really makes you stop and say a little pray and look at all the blessings you have and be gratful for them! You just never know when your life can change for the better or the unknown. Now what are you waiting for go give a HUG!

Just getting started

Hi today is June 11, 2008 and I have decided to join in the fun and start a blog. first off this shouldn't be a boring story as it will be the life, fun, and adventures of the Hart family, Bill, Linda, Landon and Tanner. First off I will start with a little intro about all of us. Bill works at Sandy City, for 25 years, in the early years his job title was Auto Cad now it is just more advanced and all done on the computer. Linda works at Allstate for 24 years. Landon is 15 years old just finished Middle School at Crescent View and I think is looking forward to starting High School at Alta in the fall. Tanner is 13 years old and just completed his 1st year in Middle School and looking forward to another 2 years at Crescent View Middle. As always the Harts are looking forward to a summer filled with camping, biking, skating and boating. and for me a lot of reading and scrap booking. Have FUN and ENJOY the SUMMER
